Under limited supervision, the Mathematics Instructor provides engaging and effective instruction in mathematics and developmental mathematics courses to support student success, retention, and completion. The instructor designs and delivers curriculum that promotes mastery of mathematical concepts, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. This role performs related administrative and recordkeeping duties, advises and supports students, and contributes to departmental and institutional goals through professional development and college service.

What We Are Looking For
Master's degree in Mathematics, or Master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Mathematics
At least one year of teaching experience (face-to-face and/or online)
Additional Information
Work Environment: Work is primarily performed in a classroom or laboratory setting equipped with standard instructional technology. The position involves regular interaction with students, faculty, and staff and may include use of online instructional platforms. The environment is fast-paced and deadline-driven, requiring flexibility, multitasking, and adherence to institutional academic standards. Occasional travel may be required for professional development, off-campus instruction, or college events.
Physical Demands: The work requires the ability to operate computers, calculators, and other instructional and office equipment. The position may involve sitting, standing, walking, stooping, reaching, and lifting instructional materials weighing up to approximately 30 pounds. Extended periods of standing and speaking may be required when conducting lectures or lab activities. Visual and auditory acuity are required to evaluate student work and communicate effectively in person and electronically.
Normal Working Hours: This is a full-time, 9-month faculty position with teaching assignments scheduled during the fall and spring semesters. Teaching responsibilities may include daytime, evening, hybrid, and online classes as assigned to meet departmental needs. Occasional participation in college events, committee meetings, and professional development activities outside of standard teaching hours is expected.
