POSITION SUMMARY
The role will be responsible for the following:
Develop courses, lessons, exercises and examinations in the area of Philosophy and Religious Studies; remain current within field of assigned instruction, related occupational areas and technologies; acquire, maintain, and apply knowledge of current instructional methodologies and materials; attend scheduled college, divisional, professional development and in-service activities; support related professional organizations by attending meetings and serving as officers; support dual enrollment efforts by teaching courses at high school sites if needed; participate in annual faculty evaluation process.

The successful applicant will possess evidence of innovative instructional methodologies, will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the fields of Philosophy and Religious Studies, and will provide strong recommendations from his or her appropriate supervisors.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies or a combination of degrees to be credentialed in teaching both disciplines
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s or Doctorate in Philosophy and Religious Studies, a documented record of community college teaching experience, dual enrollment teaching experience, and experience in a variety of delivery formats including hybrid instruction and accelerated term schedules.
Salary Range: $41,555 - $50,900
