The department of Agricultural Sciences at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a full-time, non-tenure track position as an Instructor, Plant & Soil Sciences. The anticipated start date is August 10, 2026.Morehead State University is located in Morehead, KY, a designated Kentucky Trail Town, nestled in the Daniel Boone National Forest, in close proximity to Cave Run Lake. This location provides opportunities for a wide range of outdoor recreation activities. Morehead State University delivers a strong and affordable education for friendly, ambitious students who thrive in a student-focused learning environment defined by small class sizes and faculty committed to teaching and student success.RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaches an assortment of courses in agronomy in collaboration with other instructors in the areas, including, but not limited to, Soils, Soil Conservation, Weed Science, Turf Management, Field Crops, Pest Management, and other classes based upon need and qualifications. Acts as faculty advisor to students and meets the duties required of all faculty. Activities, including recruitment, that serve the program, department, college, university and region are expected. Assists in management of Agronomy areas at the Derrickson Agriculture Center.REQUIREMENTS: Master of Science in Agronomy, Sustainable Agriculture, Soils, Forages, or related field.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience teaching undergraduate students. Experience with field crops and both conventional and alternative production methods.SPONSORSHIP: This position is not budgeted for Visa Sponsorship.
