Job Description:

SUMMARY

Provides instructional trainingrelated to the non-credit bearing Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC)Supply Chain Logistics and Warehouse program. The instructor will providequality instruction to students while pursing and maintaining current awarenessof the developments and trends in supply chain management that will preparestudents for the workforce, and ensures the instruction provided supports theCollege's mission.

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for providing instruction and preparing lesson plans based on established curriculum
  • Instructs and guides the class in an efficient and effective manner
  • Continually promotes students' development and effective use of skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, communication, professionalism, customer service, computation, problem solving, and decision-making
  • Maintains accurate, up-to-date records of student academic and attendance performance
  • Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

  • MSSC Certified Logistics Technician (CLA & CLT) Instructor certificate.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related supply chain discipline or related business field
    • Significant related experience may substitute for education
  • Minimum of five years of experience in the related field

KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS and ABILITIES

  • Ability to use a wide variety of teaching methods to promote learning
  • Advanced communication (verbal, written, and interpersonal) and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent)
  • Ability to assess and grade the progress of students
  • Possess sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population

Set-Rate Non-Bargaining Part-Time Position: This is a Part-Time Non-Bargaining Unit Position, with the following Set Rate of Pay: $35.00/ hour.

Special Note: If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1 Recruitment and Selection Procedure.
