Description

Responsibilities and Duties Assembles, tests, and troubleshoots assigned instrument production line.Serves as the manufacturing process owner for assigned manufacturing line(s) including responsibility for Safety, Delivery, Quality and Cost.Develops expertise in assembly, testing and troubleshooting for assigned platform(s).Works with Manufacturing Operators to meet weekly production goals for assigned platform(s).Troubleshoots electronic circuits, PCBs, mechanical systems, and integrated electromechanical systems including software.Supports process engineering activities for the assigned production line(s) such as Deviation Waivers, Quality Notifications including Repair/Re‑work forms.Trains production associates on assembly and test procedures.Works with Engineers to solve design and manufacturing challenges.Recommends continuous improvement opportunities.Performs feasibility tests.Revises, verifies & validates, and updates procedures for assigned manufacturing line(s).Provides engineering support by resolving minor manufacturing assembly and test issues, performing testing, validations, and designs of experiments under guidance.Follows design and quality guidelines based on Good Manufacturing Practices and related BD Quality Standards and Practices.Adheres to all BD housekeeping, safety and overtime policies as required.Performs other duties as required.Qualifications Minimum Education: Two‑year Associate's degree in mechanical, electronics, or a relevant field; robotics experience preferred.Demonstrated capability to test highly complex electromechanical instruments.Clear verbal and written communication skills to support the process engineering team.Proven ability to achieve results and improve performance across a team, work cell, or project.Strong time‑management skills across multiple production orders and processes.Leadership skills to conduct quality, continuous improvement, and system reviews including root‑cause analysis and solution implementation.Proficiency in system performance analysis and comprehension.Mentoring, coaching, and developing other associates.Commitment to continuous improvement.Fundamental knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software tools (oscilloscope, OEM software, torque drivers, gauges, bits, etc.).Expertise in reading drawings, interpreting dimensions, and requirements.Team‑work and collaboration skills.Experience as an SME for complex instruments with minimal engineer support.Training and repair skills for complex systems.Adaptability to frequent assignment changes.Proficiency in English, reading, writing, basic arithmetic, and PC/Windows skills.Required Skills System performance analysisContinuous improvement methodologyRoot‑cause analysisLocation USA MD - Sparks - 7 Loveton CircleSalary Hourly rate: $27.90 – $44.60 USDEEO Statement Becton, Dickinson, and Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
