Seeking an experienced PC&IS Engineer with 5+ years of industrial Instrumentation & Control Design Engineering experience to support engineering design, panel engineering, commissioning, and startup activities for a manufacturing/industrial plant environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in instrumentation design, PLC/SCADA, control system architecture, LV electrical distribution, MCCs, UL508A panels, and NEC standards. The role requires close coordination with customers, vendors, construction teams, and offshore engineering resources from design through startup.
Key Responsibilities
Develop Instrumentation & Control engineering design packages for industrial process and packaging systems.
Prepare Instrument Datasheets, I/O Lists, Instrument Lists, Loop Drawings, Wiring Diagrams, and Control System Architecture.
Design and select control hardware, field instrumentation, panels, and monitoring systems.
Develop LV electrical distribution, power distribution panels, and MCC designs in accordance with NEC requirements.
Support UL508A-compliant control panel engineering.
Coordinate with customers, vendors, construction teams, and offshore engineering teams to collect design inputs and complete deliverables.
Participate in design reviews, resolve technical issues, and obtain required approvals.
Support installation, commissioning, validation, and startup activities.
Lead electrical startup of process and packaging equipment.
Develop and review instrument/JB layouts, cable tray layouts, location plans, and field installation documentation.
Ensure engineering deliverables comply with applicable NEC, NFPA 70E, and industrial plant standards.
