Your impact

Defining the scope of work and supply for instrumentation and control systems. Estimating budget and manhours. Developing control philosophy, narratives, sequence of operations, strategies and logics. Identifying and specifying control systems (DCS, SIS, FGS, ESD, HIPPS, BMS and other subsystems). Engaging with the process, piping, and mechanical teams to develop Piping & Instrument Diagram (P&ID) complying with Instrumentation Symbols and Identification standard (ANSI/ISAS5.1). Creating instrument indexes, datasheets, loop drawings, and wiring diagrams, using centralized data management software, AutoCAD and MS office applications. Generating industrial control panel wiring diagrams, general arrangements & layouts drawing, bill of materials, and cable schedules using AutoCAD in compliance with UL 508A, IEC and NFPA standards. Generating junction box wiring, instrument location plans, cable routing, hook-up drawings, motor control matrix, safety shutdown and interlocks (C&E matrix). Engaging with clients during project definition, review and progress meetings. Responding to a Request for Information (RFI) and reviewing submittals. Material Take-Offs (MTOs) for instruments and its accessories, control panels, junction boxes, cables, and cable trays. Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) for instruments and systems and vendor document reviews. Supervising field instrument installations, laying cables, panel installations, hook-ups, loop checks (cold and hot), calibration, DCS/PLC control system testing and functional performance testing. Preparing As-Built documentation and finalizing the system handover.

Here's what you'll need

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field and 5 years of work experience in the job offered or related Electrical Engineering occupation.

SPECIFIC SKILLS: Design, program, test and startup of industrial process automation systems including Programmable Logic Diagram (PLC), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Human Machine Interface (HMI). Industrial process control network including Modbus and RTU's (Remote Terminal Unit). Control panel design. Knowledge of UL508A requirements for industrial control panels. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. AutoCAD in creating precise 2D/3D layouts, instrument installation details, location plan, control loop and wiring diagrams. Piping & Instrument Diagram Development (P&ID) includes ANSI/ISA S5.1 symbology. Review project drawings, technical documents, and specifications to define project scope requirements.

The base salary range for this position is $128,502.00 to $132,775.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
