Job Title: Instrumentation & Controls Engineer (Nuclear)Job ID: 88530Location: Charlotte, North CarolinaWhat you will be doing:Prepare Engineering Change Packages including but not limited to wiring diagrams and schematics, P&IDs, logic diagrams, instrument hookups, etc. for plant modification packages including digital upgradesPrepare specifications for control of plant process/auxiliary systemsPrepare and review logic diagrams and system functional descriptions for implementation of system control logic into plant control systemsEvaluate and specify pressure, temperature, flow, and level process instrumentationPerform engineering calculations for a nuclear plant such as instrument set-points, electrical loading changes, etc.Candidates will support multiple projects and support coordination of activities with clients, contractors, vendors and other members of the project teamsWhat you must have:B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Controls Engineering from an accredited 4-year university5 years overall experience in design, operations or field service/support for power plants or heavy industrial facilities3 years of experience relating to design of operating nuclear power plants in the U.S. Familiarity with nuclear standard design processStrong knowledge of engineering design and analysis. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervisionFamiliarity with nuclear regulations and industry standardsExperience to include leading a team of engineers and technicians and training/mentoring junior staffGood written and oral communication skills.
