IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical Reliability Engineer for our client, a well-established and highly respected chemical manufacturing organization operating a large-scale continuous process production facility.This is a critical technical leadership opportunity created as the result of a planned retirement and offers the successful candidate the opportunity to become the site's primary subject matter expert for instrumentation, controls, electrical systems, and reliability engineering initiatives.The ideal candidate will possess strong instrumentation, controls, and process automation expertise combined with a solid understanding of electrical power distribution systems and reliability engineering principles. This individual will play a key role in supporting plant reliability, process safety, operational performance, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.POSITION OVERVIEWReporting into Engineering and Operations Leadership, the Instrumentation & Electrical Reliability Engineer will serve as the facility's primary technical resource for instrumentation, process controls, electrical distribution systems, and reliability improvement activities.This highly visible role partners closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Project Teams, Contractors, and Utility Providers to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of critical manufacturing assets. The successful candidate will lead troubleshooting efforts, support process safety initiatives, drive reliability improvements, and provide technical guidance on instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems throughout the facility.In addition to supporting plant-wide reliability initiatives, this individual will serve as the primary technical liaison with the local electrical utility provider and play a significant role in supporting capital projects, equipment upgrades, system modernization efforts, and long-term asset management strategies.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESInstrumentation, Controls & Reliability EngineeringProvide technical leadership and support for instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems throughout the facilityLead troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts involving instrumentation, control systems, electrical equipment, and process automation systemsDevelop and implement reliability improvement strategies for critical instrumentation and electrical assetsSupport plant uptime, reliability, and operational performance initiativesPerform Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) investigations and implement corrective actions to eliminate recurring failuresDevelop reliability-centered maintenance strategies and continuous improvement initiativesElectrical Systems & Power DistributionProvide technical support for electrical power distribution and operational performanceQUALIFICATIONSRequiredBachelor's Degree in Electrical EngineeringMinimum 4+ years of experience in Instrumentation, Electrical, or I&E Reliability Engineering within a
