Position Summary
Clemmons Insurance Agencies is seeking a motivated, sales-driven Personal Lines Insurance Producer to join our growing team.
The Personal Lines Producer is responsible for developing new business, building strong client relationships, identifying additional insurance needs within existing accounts, and helping grow the agency's overall book of business.
The ideal candidate is competitive, customer-focused, organized, and comfortable prospecting, presenting insurance solutions, and closing sales.
Responsibilities
Identify, qualify, and develop new personal insurance opportunities with prospects and existing clients through phone, online, in-person, referral, and written communication.
Prospect for new customers and consistently follow up with leads and opportunities.
Cross-sell and round existing accounts by identifying additional insurance needs and coverage opportunities.
Pursue win-back opportunities and develop referral and networking relationships that generate new business.
Prepare accurate and timely insurance quotations and explain coverage options, rates, deductibles, and available discounts.
Recommend appropriate coverage based on each customer's individual needs.
Bind new insurance policies and ensure all required documentation, inspections, photographs, signatures, and supporting information are completed.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through consistent communication and exceptional service.
Support client renewals and retention by identifying potential issues and proactively addressing customer needs.
Proven ability to generate new business and close sales.
Strong understanding of insurance products, coverages, underwriting requirements, rating procedures, and agency operations.
Strong communication, presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
Comfortable prospecting and speaking with customers by phone, in person, and electronically.
Customer-focused with the ability to develop long-term client relationships.
Highly organized with strong follow-up and time-management skills.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently while also contributing to a team environment.
Strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with computers, CRM systems, agency management systems, and insurance quoting platforms.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Bachelor's degree preferred; comparable professional experience will also be considered.
