The Office of Administration & Finance Business Operations at Oklahoma State University is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Insurance Claims Analyst to support the university’s risk management and insurance operations. This position plays a key role in protecting university assets and administering insurance programs across OSU, its constituent agencies, and branch campuses.
The Insurance Claims Analyst is responsible for managing assigned insurance programs throughout the policy lifecycle, including underwriting data collection, asset valuation reporting, renewals, claims administration, invoicing, rebilling, and regulatory documentation. This role serves as a liaison between university departments, State Risk Management, insurance brokers, underwriters, and emergency management agencies.
Primary responsibilities include coordinating policy renewals, reviewing coverage for accuracy and gaps, maintaining insurance records within the Risk Management Information System (RMIS), and supporting insurance budgeting and premium allocation processes. The position also oversees claims management activities for assigned policy areas, including investigation, reporting, documentation, and tracking.
During major loss events, this role serves as a key coordination and communication point with university leadership, emergency management personnel, state agencies, and federal organizations such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
Successful candidates will demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

5+ years of insurance claim experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
