Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
5–10 years of relevant experience (insurance defense, toxic tort, environmental, or asbestos litigation)
Licensed attorney (implied by requirement to represent clients in court)
Provide legal representation to insureds and company before courts and arbitration panels for toxic tort, environmental, pollution, and asbestos claims.
• Assess value of claims and risks of exposure.
• Obtain, review, and analyze written discovery, depositions, and medical records.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, statements, trial briefs, and necessary court documents.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials in assigned venues.
• Prepare timely structured reports on litigation developments to claims partners and insureds.
• Communicate and collaborate with assigned claims partners and legal support staff.
