Supervise, train, and monitor the activities of assigned liability claims adjusters and other claims personnel.

Manage overall operations of designated area of authority. Interview, hire, and direct personnel. Prepare and conduct performance assessments, coordinate discipline, and oversee employee development as required. Review daily work and monitor workloads.

Review liability adjuster claims on a regular basis in accordance with company policy. Check for coverage, ensuring timely investigation, reserves, and resolution of claims while maintaining fair and adequate settlement amounts.

Maintain and apply a working knowledge of liability adjuster files and knowledge of statutory laws. Receive and direct processing of legal papers served upon policyholders involving claims action. Direct activities of liability adjusters and outside legal counsel. Assist in preparation for trial procedures. Attend pre-trial functions and trials as necessary.
