Job Title: Insurance Clerk Location: Salinas, CA – 93901 Duration: 3 Months (Possible Extension) Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Job Summary The Insurance Clerk performs clerical and administrative tasks related to patient billing, insurance claims processing, and account verification to ensure timely reimbursement and accurate financial records. Responsibilities Process billing for inpatient and outpatient services Verify patient account information and reconcile discrepancies Submit claims to insurance carriers and process adjustments Follow up on unpaid or denied claims Communicate with insurance providers and patients Maintain documentation and account records Process late charges and rebilling when required Assist with claim corrections and billing updates Requirements Experience in medical billing or healthcare administration Knowledge of insurance claims processing Strong communication and organizational skills Basic computer and data entry skills 4. Must-Have & Nice-to-Have Must-Have Experience in medical billing / insurance processing Strong attention to detail Customer service and communication skills Ability to handle high-volume administrative tasks Nice-to-Have Experience with hospital billing systems Bilingual (English/Spanish) Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid billing
