Job Details
  • Provide initial coverage analysis and develop case strategy including drafting coverage position letters and declaratory judgment actions
  • Prepare and respond to discovery
  • Take and defend depositions, draft motions, and attend hearings
  • Advise carrier clients on legal options, potential outcomes, and exposure
  • Build and maintain relationships with insurer clients across the firm's national book of business
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on coverage issues
  • Opportunity to support other offices across the country

Looking For:

  • J.D. and active Texas bar license
  • 2.5+ years of insurance coverage experience — insurance defense or tort background considered
  • Strong background in coverage analysis, declaratory judgment actions, and bad faith defense a plus
  • Familiarity with CGL policies, commercial lines coverage, and reservation of rights letters
  • Proven ability to take and defend depositions, draft motions, and manage litigation timelines independently
