Job Description
- Manage a diverse insurance defense caseload representing insurance carriers.
- Develop and execute long-term litigation strategies designed to protect client interests.
- Conduct fact and expert witness depositions.
- Work closely with industry, medical, and technical experts to develop case strategy and strengthen defenses.
- Analyze case issues, assess exposure, and identify practical litigation solutions.
- Draft and review high-quality legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and internal team members.
- Manage competing deadlines and maintain organized case files throughout the litigation process.
Qualifications
- 1+ year of New York-based insurance defense experience required.
- Active New Jersey and New York bar admissions required.
- Experience conducting fact and expert witness depositions.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Excellent organization and case management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and competing priorities in a fast-paced litigation practice.
- Judicial clerkship experience preferred.
