TempExperts is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney for a direct hire opportunity in Jacksonville, FL. This role is ideal for a motivated attorney who wants to manage an active caseload while working in a professional and supportive litigation environment.
Responsibilities
  • Manage a significant insurance defense caseload from inception through post-trial
  • Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
  • Draft pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and other litigation documents
  • Prepare timely status reports for insurance carriers and clients
  • Develop and maintain client relationships through professional communication
  • Travel to courthouses and other litigation-related locations as needed
  • Meet monthly billing expectations
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of all phases of litigation from pleadings through trial
  • Experience taking and defending depositions
  • Strong oral advocacy and persuasive communication skills
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Ability to evaluate cases and develop litigation strategy
  • Comfortable working with legal case management systems and technology
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Time Matters, Juris, or Acuity a plus)
Qualifications
  • Must be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar
  • Strong academic credentials required
  • Prior insurance defense litigation experience preferred
  • Tech-savvy with strong comfort using legal workflow and automation systems
