Insurance Defense Attorney Houston Area
A well-established insurance defense firm in Houstons Inner Loop is seeking an Attorney with 3+ years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to take on meaningful litigation responsibilities in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Manage insurance defense and civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
Take depositions, make oral arguments, and participate in hearings and mediations.
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and other legal documents.
Develop case strategies, conduct legal research, and evaluate liability and damages.
Communicate with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
Negotiate settlements and work toward favorable case resolutions.
Qualifications
3+ years of insurance defense and/or civil litigation experience.
Active Texas law license in good standing.
Strong deposition, oral advocacy, writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
Experience with products liability, premises liability, auto liability, bad faith, or wrongful death is a plus.
