A well-established midsize Fort Worth law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its growing Insurance Defense and General Liability Litigation practice.
The firm has a longstanding presence in the Fort Worth legal market and combines the resources and sophistication of a larger platform with the accessibility, responsibility and direct partner exposure of a midsize practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation-focused attorney who wants to handle substantive matters, develop meaningful courtroom and case-management experience, and work with a sophisticated client base without getting lost in a massive firm structure.
About the Litigation Practice
The firm's insurance defense and litigation attorneys represent insurers, insureds, businesses and other organizations in state and federal courts throughout Texas.
The practice is considerably broader than traditional high-volume insurance defense and includes matters involving:
General liability and casualty defense
Commercial general liability
Personal injury and wrongful death
Products liability
Professional liability
Property damage
Motor vehicle and transportation claims
Construction-related disputes
First-party and third-party insurance litigation
Insurance coverage disputes
Business and commercial litigation
Contract and business tort matters
Other complex civil litigation
The team represents a diverse client base that includes domestic and international insurers, businesses and major corporate clients, giving associates exposure to matters ranging from traditional liability disputes through sophisticated, higher-exposure commercial and insurance litigation.
Associates work closely with experienced litigators and are expected to take meaningful ownership of their cases rather than functioning solely in a support capacity.
Why join us?
Billables & Work Structure
The firm maintains a 1,850-hour annual billable requirement.
This position is based in the firm's Fort Worth office and is expected to be onsite approximately four days per week, with limited hybrid flexibility.
Compensation
Base Salary: $120,000–$170,000, depending on experience, litigation background and overall fit.
The firm also offers a competitive bonus structure in addition to base compensation.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
This role is particularly attractive for an attorney who wants:
A respected, established Fort Worth platform
A broad litigation practice rather than a narrow docket
Direct access to experienced partners
Meaningful responsibility earlier in their career
Hands-on case management and courtroom development
Sophisticated insurer and corporate clients
A manageable 1,850-hour billable requirement
Strong long-term growth potential within a midsize firm
Compensation that rewards increasing experience and responsibility
This is an associate-level opportunity, and the firm is open to considering candidates across a relatively broad experience range where the litigation foundation and long-term fit are strong.

We are targeting attorneys with approximately 2–10 years of litigation experience.
Candidates may come from backgrounds including:
Insurance defense
General liability
Commercial litigation
Construction litigation

Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active and in-good-standing Texas Bar admission required
Approximately 2–10 years of litigation experience
Strong research, writing and analytical skills
