Responsibilities

Lead the agencys sales efforts with a focus on helping clients find coverage that truly fits their needs.

Set the tone for the office through steady leadership, clear expectations, and day-to-day support.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and referral partners.

Guide the team in identifying new business opportunities and growing existing accounts.

Review coverage options with clients and explain choices in a way that is easy to understand.

Support hiring, coaching, and development efforts to help the agency grow in a healthy way.

Monitor sales activity, results, and service quality to keep the agency moving in the right direction.

Work closely with internal partners to keep operations organized and client service consistent.

Represent The Atlantic District in the community with professionalism and a genuine, welcoming presence.


Requirements

Active insurance license in good standing, or ability to obtain required licensing quickly.

Proven experience in insurance sales, agency leadership, or a closely related role.

Strong knowledge of personal lines and/or commercial insurance products.

Ability to build trust, coach others, and lead by example.

Comfort with agency management systems, CRM tools, and standard office software.

Clear, confident communication skills with both clients and team members.

Strong organizational habits and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred experience growing an agency book of business or leading a sales operation.

Preferred familiarity with the Waldoboro, Maine market and surrounding communities.
