Position Overview
The Young Agency is seeking a motivated and competitive Paid Sales Intern who is looking to build a long-term career in the insurance industry. This role is designed as a development pipeline into a full-time Insurance Producer position.
As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in outbound sales, client communication, and insurance fundamentals while working toward obtaining your insurance license. High-performing interns will have the opportunity to transition into a full-time, commission-earning producer role upon successful completion of the program.
Key Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls to prospective clients to generate interest and set appointments
- Assist in lead generation through prospecting, referrals, and marketing campaigns
- Learn how to identify client needs and match them with appropriate insurance solutions
- Shadow licensed producers on sales calls and client consultations
- Follow up with leads via phone, text, and email to nurture opportunities
- Maintain accurate records of all activities in CRM systems
- Participate in ongoing sales training, coaching, and product education
- Work toward obtaining your state insurance license (Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health)
- Support the sales team in daily operations and client service tasks

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required (college students or recent grads preferred)
- Prior sales, customer service, or athletic/team experience is a plusbut not required
- Must be able to pass background check and meet state licensing requirements

Salary Range: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
