Responsibilities

Generate new business through consistent outbound calling, internet leads, referrals, networking, and marketing campaigns.

Proactively prospect for new clients each day by creating opportunities, building relationships, and expanding your pipeline.

Develop insurance quotes, present customized coverage solutions, overcome objections, and confidently close new business.

Build trust with prospective clients by identifying their needs and recommending insurance solutions that protect what matters most.

Follow up consistently with prospects to maximize every opportunity and convert leads into long-term clients.

Achieve individual sales goals by maintaining a high level of daily activity and consistent prospecting.

Stay organized while managing leads, follow-up tasks, and client relationships in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.

Deliver an exceptional customer experience that generates referrals, strengthens client relationships, and drives long-term retention.

Participate in ongoing coaching, training, and team meetings to continuously improve sales performance.

Represent the Tom Smith Farmers Insurance Agency with professionalism, integrity, and a positive attitude.


Requirements

Excellent communication, relationship-building, and active listening skills.

Sales, business development, or customer-facing experience preferred.

Enjoy building relationships through outbound calling, networking, and proactive prospecting.

Confident overcoming objections and asking for the sale.

Competitive, self-motivated, and driven to achieve ambitious sales goals.

Resilient with the ability to stay positive, persistent, and motivated when facing rejection.

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Professional phone presence and confidence speaking with prospective clients.

Coachable with a willingness to learn proven sales systems, scripts, and insurance products.

Ability to work independently while contributing to a positive, team-oriented culture.

Basic computer proficiency with the ability to quickly learn CRM and insurance quoting systems.

Previous insurance experience is a plus, but not required. We provide training and licensing support for the right candidate.

Must possess or be willing to obtain the appropriate Property & Casualty insurance license.
