A highly respected AmLaw 100 firm is seeking an Insurance Transactional & Regulatory Associate Attorney to join its New York office.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in advising insurance companies, reinsurers, private equity sponsors, asset managers, financial institutions, and strategic investors on sophisticated insurance regulatory, corporate, and transactional matters.
• 3–6 years of insurance regulatory, insurance transactional, corporate, or financial services regulatory experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
• Experience representing insurance companies, reinsurers, brokers, managing general agents (MGAs), private equity sponsors, financial institutions, and strategic investors
• Experience advising clients on state insurance regulatory compliance, licensing, corporate governance, holding company matters, market conduct issues, and regulatory approvals
• Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, reinsurance transactions, corporate restructurings, insurance company formations, and other strategic transactions involving insurance entities
• Experience interacting with state insurance departments and regulatory agencies, including preparing regulatory filings and obtaining required approvals
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to independently manage sophisticated regulatory and transactional matters while maintaining significant client interaction
• Excellent academic credentials
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• New York bar admission required or ability to become admitted
