• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 2-5 years of related experience
• Experience in Excess & Surplus (E&S), Specialty Program, or Commercial Lines underwriting
• Strong background evaluating commercial risks and underwriting submissions
• Knowledge of Non-Construction Contractor classes and specialty risks preferred
• Experience with risk selection, pricing, coverage analysis, and underwriting guidelines
• Ability to identify profitable versus unprofitable accounts
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple submissions and priorities
• Evaluate, select, and price insurance submissions for Non-Construction Contractor risks
• Underwrite individual risks including:

Landscape, Tree, and Lawn Contractors
Moving Companies

• Analyze risk exposures and determine appropriate pricing, coverage terms, and rates
• Identify and decline unprofitable or unacceptable risks
• Review submissions and make underwriting decisions based on company guidelines and risk appetite
• Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to support pricing and coverage strategies
• Ensure compliance with underwriting standards, regulations, and company procedures
• Maintain relationships with agents, brokers, and business partners
