Seeking Senior Underwriter to facilitate primary contact with distribution partners and the underwriting of all Medical Professional Liability new business for physicians and surgeons.
Duties:
• Set goals and create action plans to meet Program production and profitability goals.
• Direct underwriting activities for company-wide portfolio of business and Medical Professional Liability new business within authority granted.
• Support Program advertisement and promotion to distribution partners.
• Mentor underwriting staff, sharing industry knowledge and best practices.
• Hire, discharge, promote, transfer, and approve performance, salary increases, and overtime.
Must Have:
• Bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years of medical professional liability underwriting experience for physicians and surgeons.
• Registered Professional Liability Underwriter or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation desired.
