Production Underwriter - Commercial Property - New Haven, CT

Seeking bachelor's degree and 5+ years of commercial Property underwriting experience; solid knowledge of related rules, regulations and class codes; and existing broker relationships.
 
Objective: Underwrite and maintain a profitable book of commercial property business through solid risk selection, analysis, pricing and servicing.
 
Activities:
 
• Maintain and develop insurance agency and broker relationships, monitor underwriting results and track production performance for the region.
 
• Actively plan and participate in industry events.
 
• Determine acceptability of submissions.
 
• Maintains strict compliance with all state filings and adhere to corporate underwriting and pricing guidelines.
 
• Work to resolve policyholders and regional producers problems and issues.
 
• Provide support to claims in handling coverage requests
 
Initial prospecting will be cross-sales to existing clients, while building new account portfolio. Full service Regional commercial insurance company expanding product line and territories. High visibility position with strong potential for growth and advancement. Local travel.
 
First year's compensation to $130,000. Benefits package includes 401K plan, health and life insurance, paid vacations, family leave and holidays, long and short-term disability, and much more!
