Job Description

Department:                        Domestic Relations Office              

Sub-Department:                N/A

Pay Grade:                          104     

FLSA Status:                       Non-exempt

Employment Status:          Full Time

Reports to:                          Finance & Administrative Manager 

Supervises:                         N/A  

 

Job Summary:

Processes local complaints; initiates and monitors support order requests in other jurisdictions.

 

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Complete responsibility for local support filings via eservices
  • Conducts initial interviews to determine proper venue, gather required data, and decide the appropriate course of action for each case.
  • Prepares all legal documents for the case initiation process for legal complaints.
  • Assist plaintiffs by telephone, e-mail, and other written correspondence.
  • Office contact for IFSA initiating case
  • Ensures all TANF (Temporary Aid to Needy Families) recipients have filed for spousal/child support as required.
  • Reviews and processes all agency requests for support (C&Y and Juvenile Probation)
  • Provides general support to the client services department as needed

  • Copies pertinent information and forwards it to plaintiffs.

  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required. 

Minimum Requirements to Perform the Work: 

Education:

  • High school diploma required. 

Work Experience:

  • 2 years’ experience in human services, courts, or related field.
