AVAILABLE POSITIONS FULL TIME AND PRN SHIFTS.
POSITION SUMMARY
Provide clinical assessment, diagnosis, compassionate and evidence-based treatment; participate in weekly staffing; facilitate weekly walk-in intake clinics; develop and monitor treatment plans and progress, maintain clinical documentation; and other reporting data. 
 
Duties/Responsibilities: 
·        Conducts comprehensive assessments and formulates differential diagnosis of mental health conditions and/or substance abuse on both a scheduled and walk-in basis (approx 20 Assessments expected complete per 40hr week) 
  • Participates on intake team to consult and assign caseloads to clinic providers, and oversee caseload management for the clinic 
  • Consults with the medical director and other providers regarding complex patients as needed and initiates internal referrals for patients when clinically indicated. 
  • Identifies patients with urgent mental health conditions (e.g. suicidal, homicidal, psychotic, risk of substance withdrawal, etc.) and makes appropriate referrals to available emergency or psychiatric treatment facilities. 
·        Provides individual therapy and formulates treatment plans for patients under care utilizing professional counseling standards. 
·        Provides timely written documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, etc., including all necessary billing information. 
  • Provides non-scheduled urgent assessment of patients as clinically indicated 
  • Participate in a team management approach to patient care/treatment. 
·        Provides supervision and shadowing opportunities to interns/practicum students. 
·        Performs other duties as assigned. 
 
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 
·        Maintain and update professional knowledge and proficiency through continuing education, staff meetings, workshops and serving on special committees. Must be highly proficient in diagnosis, and completing intake assessments, and fully proficient in 10-finger typing. 
Education and Experience: 
·        Master’s degree in clinical social work or mental health counseling 
·        Licensed as a behavioral health professional in the State of New Mexico (LCSW, LPCC, LMHC, LMSW), independently licensed preferred (LCSW, LPCC). 
·        Must be able to pass the CYFD/DOH background check.
