The Integrated Communications Assistant supports installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of communication, security, and low-voltage systems to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards.

  • Assist with intercom, paging, fire alarm, intrusion detection, access control, CCTV, and sound systems.
  • Support testing, configuration, programming, and repairs of systems.
  • Operate diagnostic tools, maintain accurate records, and coordinate with vendors and contractors.
  • Ensure adherence to codes such as NEC, NFPA, and ADA, and communicate professionally with stakeholders.
  • Assist with infrastructure projects like cabling and wiring.

  • Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred experience in low-voltage or security systems. Certifications like NICET and OSHA are desirable. The position is a 12-month term based in Facility Services.
