JOB SUMMARY:

Provides substance use and mental health assessment services as assigned. Primarily responsible for assessing and collaborating with Chief Behavioral Health Officer as to diagnosis and appropriate recommendations/referrals for admitting and current clients. Provides counseling & assessment services under mental health and substance use disorder licensure.

Assures adherence to state statutes and rules, CARF standards, and federal regulations including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. Positively represents the organization and promotes Rimrock's Mission to the community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Therapeutic Service Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct integrated assessment for all new Inpatient and Residential clients to help determine acuity of mental health and appropriateness of subsequent referrals to services.
  2. Triage inpatient and residential clients for referral to psychiatric and mental health departments
  3. Conduct inpatient and outpatient assessments as assigned
  4. Meet with new clients on the medical unit to advise them of MH services to support and augment treatment services.;.
  5. Provide basic coping and stress-management services to clients during their early treatment days.
  6. Obtain collateral information from support individuals of clients entering treatment.
  7. Respond to letters of request to include information requested, treatment services requested, etc.
  8. Document referrals into system.
  9. Staff referrals with clinical team.
  10. Meet with detox clients to collect information regarding treatment needs and staff with clinical team.
  11. Conduct and observe ancillary groups as assigned.
  12. Provide relief counseling throughout the organization as needed
Quality Improvement Responsibilities:
  1. Assures that information is collected, organized, reported and used to improve the quality of systems and services.
  2. Obtains feedback from clients regarding their perceptions of the service provided to them and utilizes this information to improve service delivery.
  3. Assures that resources are allocated in accordance with the priorities and plans established by the Strategic Plan.
  4. Recognizes and appropriately reports to supervisor areas within scope of responsibility that fall outside the quality parameters.
  5. Performs self-quality monitoring in order to develop and execute plans to meet established goals.


EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Bachelor's degree in Behavioral or Human Services field. Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in a recognized healthcare facility preferred. Specialized training in addiction treatment.

CERTIFICATE OR LICENSE:

Must be licensed in the State of Montana as an ACLC/LAC and LCPC or LCSW or have candidate licensure.

SKILLS:

Clinical supervision, therapeutic skills, individual and group therapy, scheduling and coordination. Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft products including Word, Excel and Outlook.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work is indoors in an office environment with moderate noise. Intermittent physical effort involving lifting of up to 25 pounds, walking and stooping is required. A typical workday involves sitting, frequent use of a keyboard, reaching with hands and arms, and talking and hearing, approximately 70% of the time. Approximately 30% or less of the time is spent standing. Normal vision abilities required, including close vision and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/JOB LOCATIONS:

Involves everyday risk or discomfort requiring normal safety precautions in an office setting, meeting room and patient care areas. Work may involve mental and emotional stress. Some driving/traveling required. Will work primarily in main facility.
