The Integrated Education and Training IET Teacher supports students 16 years in IET programs which combine adult basic education employability skills and workforce training into streamlined career development for healthcare skilled trades and other in-demand career pathways.
The IET Teacher will collaborate with content instructors to develop integrated curriculum and deliver instruction for at-risk populations. This position will work closely with campus, local, and regional partners to effectively propose and implement IET models for our campus.
The IET Teacher is skilled in working with diverse populations and can adapt instruction to a variety of fields.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include:
• Teaches basic reading, writing, math, and employability skills in the context of career training through instruction in IET classes and office hours if applicable. • Serves as liaison among adult education students, content teachers, and program administrators, and coordinates with departments, organizations, and employers to schedule certification testing, mock interviews, and related services. • Attends professional development institutes, conferences, and trainings hosted by NM HED and other partners in state IET implementation.
