Are you passionate about health, wellness, and making a meaningful impact in your community? We’re looking for motivated and compassionate volunteers to join our team as Integrated Health Interns, supporting initiatives that improve health outcomes and expand access to wellness resources.

In this role, you will help bridge the gap between medical health systems and the Y, contributing to programs that empower individuals to live healthier lives. You will gain hands-on experience supporting evidence-based health interventions, including the National Diabetes Prevention Program, cancer survivorship programs LIVESTRONG and YOUTHSTRONG, and diagnosis-specific support groups and wellness programming.

As an Intern, You’ll:

  • Assist in the coordination and delivery of health intervention programs, including the National Diabetes Prevention Program, LIVESTRONG, and YOUTHSTRONG.

  • Help connect healthcare providers, participants, and Y resources to strengthen continuity of care

  • Engage participants to enhance program retention, motivation, and overall experience

  • Assist with tracking program outcomes and evaluating impact on community health

  • Promote wellness initiatives and help expand access to integrated health services

Requirements

Students majoring in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Public Health, Recreation, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Health Administration, Pre-med, and other related fields. Individuals who are enthusiastic about integrated health and continuity of care, eager to learn, and committed to working collaboratively with others.

Benefits

What You’ll Gain:

  • Practical experience in integrated and community-based health programming

  • Exposure to chronic disease prevention and management strategies

  • Opportunities to collaborate with healthcare professionals and wellness staff

  • Skill development in health education, program coordination, and participant engagement

  • A chance to make a real difference in improving individual and community health outcomes

If you’re eager to learn, passionate about helping others, and interested in the intersection of healthcare and community-based care, we’d love to have you on our team!
