Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Outfitting and Configuration Specialist
Position Overview:
The Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Outfitting and Configuration Specialist provides critical support for outfitting and configuration management activities for the OPC program. This role is responsible for preparing materials and reports for project reviews, participating in outfitting activities aboard cutters, supporting Physical Configuration Audits (PCA), and delivering presentations and status updates. The Specialist will apply comprehensive knowledge of shipbuilding, logistics, and configuration management processes to ensure effective outfitting, equipment validation, and program compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare outfitting and configuration management materials (e.g., charts, briefs) for project reviews and generate ad-hoc outfitting reports as required.
• Participate in outfitting material activities aboard the cutter, including equipment validation, storeroom placements, VIN marking, and product tracking.
• Participate in Physical Configuration Audits (PCA) to ensure configuration compliance and support program objectives.
• Attend meetings related to assigned tasks and as designated by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR); prepare and provide presentations on outfitting and PCA status.
• Apply analytical and evaluative methods to organize, plan, conduct, evaluate, and administer the outfitting/configuration program.
• Support and ensure compliance with Technical Assessment Review (TAR), proposal development, equipment life cycle cost analysis, logistics life cycle sustainment, and Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) processes.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) processes and configuration management best practices.
• Maintain awareness of and support the logistics impacts of outfitting and configuration changes throughout the vessel's life cycle.
• Utilize Microsoft Office software suite (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel) to develop reports, briefs, and presentations.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a business or related technical/business field. (Substitution: Minimum of four additional years of relevant experience in addition to the required minimum years of experience.)
• At least 3 years of experience supporting logistics or configuration and shipbuilding processes.
• Comprehensive knowledge of shipbuilding processes, including TAR, proposal development, equipment life cycle cost, logistics life cycle sustainment, and ECP processes.
• Comprehensive knowledge of CDRL processes.
• Comprehensive knowledge in outfitting/load out of ships.
• Comprehensive knowledge of configuration management and Physical Configuration Audits.
• Experience with vessel outfitting, equipment validation, storeroom placements, VIN marking, product tracking, and understanding of logistic impacts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel.
• Ability to apply analytical and evaluative methods to produce reports, briefs, and presentations.

• Ability to perform moderate walking and movement through active shipyards and OPCs under construction.

Work Environment:
This position is based at the OPC PRO office and requires regular presence aboard vessels and in shipyard environments. The Specialist will work closely with project teams, attend meetings, and interact with various stakeholders to support outfitting and configuration management objectives.

Reporting:
Reports to the designated Project Lead and interfaces with the COR and other program stakeholders as required.
