Roles & Responsibilities
- Define enterprise-wide integration architecture, standards, and best practices.
- Design scalable, resilient, and secure integration solutions using Java, Kafka, and streaming technologies.
- Establish integration and messaging patterns for microservices, APIs, and event-driven systems.
- Develop target-state architecture and roadmap for modernization initiatives.
- Drive adoption of event-driven architecture (EDA) and real-time data integration frameworks.
- Lead architecture and design discussions with business and technology stakeholders.
- Design end-to-end integration solutions across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid platforms.
- Create high-level and low-level design documents, architecture diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and technologies supporting business objectives.
- Design enterprise Kafka architecture including:
- Topics and partition strategies
- Consumer groups
- Replication and failover mechanisms
- Schema Registry
- Kafka Connect
- Kafka Streams
- Define standards for event modeling, event governance, and message schemas.
- Architect real-time streaming solutions for high-volume and low-latency processing.
- Ensure scalability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and operational excellence of Kafka platforms.
- Establish monitoring and observability frameworks for streaming applications.
- Define architectural standards for Java and Spring Boot-based applications.
- Design microservices-based integration solutions leveraging Kafka and REST APIs.
- Guide development teams in implementing loosely coupled and scalable services.
- Establish coding standards, security practices, and architectural guardrails.
- Drive API management and service lifecycle governance.
- Architect integration solutions on cloud platforms such as:
- AWS (MSK, ECS, EKS, Lambda, EventBridge, S3)
- Azure (Event Hub, Service Bus, AKS)
- Design containerized and Kubernetes-based deployment architectures.
- Collaborate with Platform Engineering teams on infrastructure and automation strategies.
- Support hybrid clo ud and multi-cloud integration initiatives.
- Define CI/CD standards for integration and streaming platforms.
- Promote Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and deployment automation.
- Ensure observability using Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, and other monitoring tools.
- Drive operational excellence and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
