    Description

    What We Offer

    The Integration Engineer III (Health Level 7) supports the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of healthcare system integrations that enable secure and reliable data exchange. This role assists with HL7 v2, HL7 v3, and FHIR-based interfaces, contributing to testing, deployment, and operational support of enterprise interoperability platforms. The ideal candidate is technically curious, detail‑oriented, and eager to grow within healthcare integration and interoperability.

    Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM (On call support required, as needed).

    Location: Remote

    Department: Enterprise Technology Services- Data Services

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in the development, configuration, and maintenance of HL7 and FHIR interfaces between clinical, financial, and operational systems
    • Support interface testing, validation, and deployment across development, test, and production environments
    • Monitor interfaces for errors or performance issues and assist with troubleshooting and incident resolution
    • Participate in interface documentation, including message specifications, workflows, and configuration details
    • Collaborate with senior integration engineers, analysts, vendors, and clinical stakeholders to support interoperability initiatives
    • Follow established standards, best practices, and change management processes to ensure system stability and data integrity

    What We're Looking For

    • Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. Computer Science or Computer Information Systems. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Computer Science or Computer Information Systems.

    • Experience: 5 years in IT or related business, preferable healthcare environment in a management, analytical or technical role with responsibilities including implementation, technical troubleshooting, customer support, and problem solving, required.

    • Licensure/Certification: Epic Bridges, required. InterSystems Health Connect Specialist, preferred.

    • Additional Skills (required):

    • Proficient knowledge in:

    • HL7 standards and capable understanding of integration methodology and architecture

    • Epic Bridges

    • FHIR

    • Intersystems HealthConnect Cloud (IHCC)

    • Product application support

    • Regular expressions

    • IP protocals

    • File transfer standards (FTP, SFTP)

    • Web Services

    • Additional Skills (preferred): Intermediate knowledge CICD Pipeline code promotion workflows.
