As an Integration Technician I, you will support the installation and commissioning of critical infrastructure systems within Switch data center environments. This role exists to help ensure systems are installed safely, tested correctly, and aligned with operational standards.
You will work alongside electrical, mechanical, and construction teams while building foundational technical skills in mission-critical environments.
Support installation and commissioning activities for critical infrastructure systems
Assist with testing and startup of systems including UPS, PDU, ATS, HVAC, generators, monitoring, and control systems
Work with contractors and field teams to support installation quality and compliance with Switch standards
Observe work areas and report safety concerns, hazards, or installation issues
Follow NFPA 70E, OSHA, and Switch safety requirements
Use hand tools and basic equipment safely and correctly
Maintain assigned tools, materials, and work areas
Support customer compliance requirements and site standards
Complete assigned tasks accurately and on schedule
Assist with additional field, integration, and construction activities as needed
You communicate clearly and work effectively with others
You follow through on assigned work and pay attention to detail
You are willing to learn technical systems and field processes
You prioritize safety and follow established procedures
You stay organized while working in active project environments
You raise concerns early and support problem resolution
You work well across multiple teams and disciplines
Required:
High school diploma or GED
Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools
Ability to read and follow written instructions and safety procedures
Ability to work from ladders and in physically demanding environments
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when required
Willingness to travel for project work
Preferred:
Experience with electrical or mechanical systems
Exposure to construction, commissioning, or technical field work
Familiarity with mission-critical or industrial environments
Additional Requirements:
Ability to work extended hours during peak project periods
Personal protective equipment (PPE) required in designated work areas
