Position OverviewWheeler Staffing Partners is seeking four
Integration Technicians (Levels I and II) for contract opportunities in Redmond, WA. These positions support the assembly, wiring, integration, and testing of specialized test racks used for satellite hardware testing within a technical laboratory environment.
The ideal candidates have hands-on experience with electrical wiring, mechanical assembly, cable routing, and hardware integration. These roles require the ability to interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials (BOMs) while ensuring assemblies meet technical specifications and quality standards.
Candidates must be comfortable working onsite in a laboratory environment and traveling to client locations throughout the greater Redmond and Seattle area.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble, wire, and integrate test racks according to engineering drawings, technical specifications, and build requirements.
Inspect and validate wiring harnesses, breakout panels, connectors, and electrical cabling.
Verify assemblies meet bills of materials (BOMs), wiring diagrams, and engineering specifications.
Perform cable routing, labeling, connector installation, and mechanical assembly.
Support initial hardware testing, calibration, and validation of integrated test racks.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve wiring, assembly, and integration discrepancies.
Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to address equipment and hardware issues.
Document assembly activities, testing results, discrepancies, and corrective actions.
Follow Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) safety procedures and laboratory quality standards.
Maintain organized workstations, tools, equipment, and technical documentation.
Assist with hardware installations, modifications, and system integration projects.
Travel to local client sites to support equipment assembly, installation, and testing.
Required Qualifications
Technical degree, certification, or equivalent hands-on technical experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical wiring, rack integration, mechanical assembly, or related technical work.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials (BOMs).
Experience assembling or troubleshooting electrical and mechanical components.
Familiarity with wiring harnesses, connectors, cabling, and cable routing.
Understanding of ESD safety procedures and technical laboratory practices.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify assembly or wiring discrepancies.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with engineering and technical teams.
Reliable transportation and ability to travel up to 75% throughout the Redmond/Seattle area required.
Ability to work 100% onsite.
Level I and Level II ResponsibilitiesIntegration Technician I 3 Openings
Perform hands-on assembly, wiring, and integration tasks using established procedures.
Follow engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical instructions.
Assist with equipment inspections, testing, and troubleshooting.
Identify and report discrepancies to senior technicians or engineering teams.
Maintain accurate documentation and follow established safety and quality standards.
Integration Technician II 1 Opening
Perform more complex assembly, wiring, and hardware integration activities.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and integration issues with greater independence.
Support test rack validation, calibration, and quality verification.
Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical discrepancies.
Provide technical guidance and support to Level I technicians as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
IPC/WHMA-A-620 wiring harness certification.
Experience supporting aerospace, defense, avionics, or satellite hardware testing environments.
Previous experience assembling and integrating electrical test racks.
Experience with wiring harness inspection, breakout panels, and hardware validation.
Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and calibration procedures.
Experience working in a regulated engineering or manufacturing environment.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Fully onsite position based in Redmond, WA, with frequent travel to nearby client locations.
Standard MondayFriday business hours.
Work performed primarily in technical laboratories, engineering facilities, and hardware testing environments.
Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout laboratory and production areas for extended periods.
Ability to handle small components, wiring, connectors, and technical equipment.
Ability to move equipment and materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
Must follow established laboratory safety, ESD, and equipment handling procedures.
