Compensation

$310,000 – $390,000+

A premier global law firm is seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney to join its New York office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing technology companies, life sciences companies, pharmaceutical companies, manufacturers, and other innovative businesses in sophisticated patent and intellectual property litigation.

Ideal Background

3–6 years of intellectual property litigation experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

• Experience representing technology, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, semiconductor, software, consumer products, and manufacturing companies

• Experience handling patent litigation in federal district courts involving complex technologies

• Experience managing all phases of litigation, including fact and expert discovery, depositions, motion practice, claim construction (Markman), dispositive motions, trial preparation, and appeals

• Experience working with technical experts, damages experts, inventors, and in-house legal teams throughout complex litigation matters

• Experience with International Trade Commission (ITC) proceedings, PTAB matters, inter partes review (IPR), post-grant proceedings, trade secret litigation, copyright litigation, or trademark litigation is a plus

• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated litigation matters while maintaining significant client interaction

• Technical degree in engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, chemistry, biology, or a related scientific discipline is preferred but not required, depending on practice needs

• Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

New York bar admission required or ability to become admitted
