WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead and negotiate complex patent acquisitions, licensing deals, and IP monetization strategies.
- Advise on IP components of financial services transactions and sophisticated M&A matters.
- Draft and negotiate agreements involving patent rights, technology transfers, and commercial IP arrangements.
- Provide strategic guidance on regulatory compliance and corporate structuring in IP‑centric deals.
- Partner with cross‑disciplinary legal teams on high‑value transactional matters.
WHAT YOU BRING
- JD from a Top 50 law school preferred (strong academic credentials required).
- 3–8 years of transactional experience with a focus on contract and patent acquisition, and IP‑driven deals.
- Background from an Am Law 200 firm or a respected regional firm known for sophisticated transactional work.
- North Carolina Bar preferred or ability to obtain promptly.
- Advanced drafting and negotiation of patent and technology agreements.
- Experience structuring IP components of M&A and financial services transactions.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Client-facing advisory experience.
