The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Officer and senior intelligence analyst engaging in semi-complex to complex technical analysis and production of information obtained and processed from one or more intelligence sources in support of customer requirements.

This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectees salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectees qualifications in relation to the job.
ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain their active membership in the Air Force (AF0 Reserve unit where assigned. ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month. They are eligible for 15 days active duty tour each year for which military leave is granted with full civilian pay. Air Reserve units and members are subject to immediate call to active duty in mobilization to meet a national emergency. XXXXX - XXXX
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions for series 0132.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge of a wide range of intelligence research and collection methods, techniques, and practices, enabling the use of multi-source intelligence information systems to capture data and make recommendations for developing intelligence capabilities and threat assessments. The position requires applying broad knowledge of military structure, political affairs and history to analyze intelligence data in difficult and complex work assignments. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.

Applicant must be commissioned or commissionable as an ART Officer in the Air Force Reserve.
