Description
The Intensive Program Clinician I, provides direct intensive community treatment services for individuals in the REACH program diagnosed with behavioral health diagnoses. Works as part of the REACH team to ensure services and resources are coordinated among providers as needed to help individuals served live and participate optimally in the community.
Starting Salary: $51,720.75--Depending on Experience
Qualifications
Extensive knowledge and training in best practices for providing community-based crisis services for individuals with co-occurring developmental disabilities and behavioral health diagnoses residing in community settings.
Demonstrated knowledge of agency, local, state, and federal regulations as they pertain to the REACH program; Medicaid guidelines; standards for clinical services; and related human rights, ethical, and legal concerns.
Thorough knowledge of DSM-V etiology, symptoms, treatment, and prognoses.
Knowledge of and ability to administer various treatments and therapeutic modalities as appropriate and/or prescribed.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and to prepare and present educational materials.
Basic working knowledge of pertinent medical, legal, and financial terminology; and psychopharmacology.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team; think critically and problem solve effectively; and recognize and respond to crises appropriately.
Must possess a valid driver's license (state of Virginia, unless otherwise approved by agency) with an acceptable driving record. Must maintain acceptable record throughout employment.
Must have an acceptable criminal history background and child protective services check upon hire and maintained throughout employment;
Must have acceptable drug screen results upon hire.
Education/Experience Required:
Graduation from an accredited university with a Master's Degree in social work, psychology or human services related field is required.
State of Virginia Professional licensure eligibility required.
At least one year of clinical experience working with individuals with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, developmental and/or intellectual disabilities, preferred.
Additional compensation will be considered for any new employees who speak multiple languages.
