Position Summary
CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking an Interim Controller based in Flower Mound, TX. This role will oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, revenue recognition, budgeting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong accrual-based accounting experience, full close cycle knowledge, and the ability to lead a small accounting team in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation: $123,000 - $150,000 annually
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Work Setup: Flower Mound, TX - 100% Onsite
Employment Type: Interim / Temp-to-Hire Potential
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL, billing, and revenue recognition
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and budget analysis
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Support executive leadership with financial reporting and operational insights
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff
Qualifications
- 10+ years of accounting/finance experience
- 5+ years of leadership experience
- Strong accrual accounting and revenue recognition experience
- Full close cycle experience required
- QuickBooks Online experience required
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- CPA/CMA preferred but not required
- Strong communication and leadership skills

- Financial analytics/dashboard reporting experience
