Interim Controller – Orange, CT

We are working with a company in Orange, CT that is looking for an experienced Interim Controller to step in and provide coverage during a permanent search. This is an immediate need.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
Location: Orange, CT – onsite
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: $50-55/hour

Responsibilities:
• Manage weekly payroll for approximately 25 employees through Paychex
• Lead month-end close, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, financial statement preparation and cash management
• Oversee A/P, invoice and purchase order approvals, vendor relationships and commission calculations
• Review inventory costing and manage quarterly physical inventory adjustments
• Prepare quarterly reporting and assist with the annual review and tax process
• Support HR/payroll compliance and annual insurance renewals

What We’re Looking For:
• Strong payroll experience
• Hands-on month-end close, reconciliations and financial reporting experience
• Cash management experience
• Prior supervisory experience

Nice to Have:
• Sage 100 or MAS 90 experience
• Inventory and standard costing experience
• Consumer packaged goods or major retail industry experience
