Interim Controller

Location: Palmdale, CA (Onsite)
Salary: $120,000 – $145,000 annualized DOE

Join a well-established aerospace and manufacturing organization supporting complex operations in the Antelope Valley. Our client is looking for an experienced Interim Controller who can step into a key leadership role, quickly understand the business, and provide stability across the accounting function. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting leader who enjoys solving problems, strengthening processes, and keeping financial operations moving during periods of transition.

The Opportunity

As the Interim Controller, you'll take ownership of day-to-day accounting operations while providing leadership and financial oversight across the organization. You'll partner closely with executive and operational leadership to maintain accurate reporting, meet critical deadlines, and identify opportunities to strengthen processes and controls.

What You'll Do

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting

• Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other core accounting functions

• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow reporting, and financial analysis

  
  
• 
  

• Strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures, and reporting processes

  
  
• 
  

• Lead and support the accounting team while partnering with operations and executive leadership

What We're Looking For

• 
  

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with previous Controller or senior accounting leadership experience

  
  
• 
  

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close, and internal controls

  
  
• 
  

• Advanced Excel skills with experience working in ERP/accounting systems

  
  
• 
  

• Manufacturing, aerospace, government contracting, or other project-based industry experience preferred

  
  
•
