Our client, a well-established nonprofit organization serving the community, is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Human Resources to support its Human Resources team.
Working closely with executive leadership, this role will help strengthen HR operations, support employees and managers, enhance processes, ensure compliance, and contribute to the organization's overall HR vision and strategic priorities.

37.5 hours per week
Onsite five days per week for the first 90 days
Hybrid work arrangement available after the initial 90-day period

Partner with executive leadership to support the organization's HR strategy and overall vision.
Provide day-to-day leadership for Human Resources operations.
Coach and oversee a small team of HR professionals.
Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the HR function.
Support organizational initiatives that enhance the employee experience and operational effectiveness.
Oversee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding activities.
Partner with department leaders to support staffing and workforce planning.
Identify opportunities to enhance recruiting and onboarding processes.
Serve as a trusted resource for managers and employees.
Support performance management and employee development.
Conduct workplace investigations and ensure consistent application of policies.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
Oversee leave administration, workers' compensation, unemployment, and HR compliance.
Support payroll and benefits administration.
Evaluate HR systems and recommend operational improvements.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Five or more years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience.
Experience leading and developing direct reports.
Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, talent acquisition, compliance, compensation, and benefits administration.
Experience leading HR initiatives in a complex organization.
Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
Experience with iSolved or a comparable HRIS platform.
Experience in a nonprofit, healthcare, or human services environment.
Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.
