This role is critical in ensuring equitable educational opportunities, academic success, and cultural integration for English Language Learners.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.PROGRAM LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENTDirect and coordinate comprehensive English Learner programs, including:Dual Language ProgramsTransitional Bilingual EducationSheltered English Immersion (SEI)Title III programsDevelop, implement, and continuously evaluate EL service delivery modelsEnsure compliance with state and federal regulationsMonitor program effectiveness through data collection and analysis INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORTSupervise and evaluate EL teachers and support staffAssist in curriculum development and selection of instructional materialsCoordinate professional development for EL and non-EL teachersSupport staff in building capacity to meet linguistic and academic needs of English Learners ASSESSMENT AND DATA MANAGEMENTOversee student assessment processesEnglish Language Proficiency assessmentsEntry/exit proceduresTransition servicesMaintain comprehensive EL databasesAnalyze assessment results to drive instructional improvementsPrepare required reports for local, state, federal agencies, committees, and Superintendent COMMUNITY AND PARENT ENGAGEMENTDevelop and implement parent and community outreach activitiesFacilitate Multilingual Parent Advisory Council meetingsFoster positive relationships with students, families, and community stakeholders GRANT MANAGEMENT AND BUDGETINGWrite and manage federal and state grants (e.g., Title III)Prepare annual operating budgetsComplete and submit grant-related expenditure reports CULTURAL INTEGRATIONSupport cultural integration of diverse student populationsDevelop programs for refugee, immigrant, and Students with Limited or Interrupted Formal Education (SLIFE)Promote multilingualism and multiculturalism TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLSProficient in Microsoft Office and Google SuiteKnowledgeable about instructional technologyExcellent organizational and communication skillsAbility to make difficult decisionsStrong interpersonal skillsAdaptable and resourceful The Interim Director of English Learner Services may be assigned other duties by the Superintendent or designee.
