Arkansas Talent Group is seeking an Interim Full-Charge Bookkeeper for a growing CPA and consulting firm in Central Arkansas. This is a temporary, high-impact opportunity created to support the firm during a key employee's leave of absence. The Interim Full-Charge Bookkeeper will play a critical role in maintaining day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring continuity for both internal stakeholders and external clients. This position requires a hands-on professional who can quickly adapt, take ownership of processes, and operate with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist with month-end close processes and preparation of financial statements.
- Support client accounting needs, maintaining high standards of service and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with internal team members to ensure seamless workflow during the employee's absence.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement while maintaining consistency with existing procedures.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of full-charge bookkeeping or similar accounting experience, preferably within a CPA firm or professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online or similar platforms.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to step into an existing workflow and contribute immediately.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
