Interim Hospital Pharmacy Manager Needed in Nantucket, Massachusetts!

The Position

• An Interim Hospital Pharmacy Manager is needed to provide pharmacy leadership for a fifteen-bed hospital.
• Reporting to the Pharmacy Director, this leader will oversee three direct reports.
• Key responsibilities include training and mentoring inexperienced pharmacy staff to strengthen competencies, maintain high standards, and support continued professional progress; supporting and implementing corporate initiatives within pharmacy operations; and providing unit stabilization through consistent leadership, staff support, operational oversight, and the reinforcement of effective pharmacy practices.
• The ideal candidate will be a personable, approachable leader who can quickly build trust and integrate seamlessly into a small-team environment. This individual should be comfortable mentoring staff with varying levels of experience, providing steady leadership, and fostering collaboration during a period of transition.
• Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree required.
• Must hold a Massachusetts Pharmacy License and Site Sterile Compounding licensure.
• Relevant experience with hospital pharmacy operations, USP 797 and USP 800 standards, sterile compounding, and hazardous drug handling is needed.

Pay Details

• Pay Range: $165,000 - $175,000 annually.
• The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
• The listed base compensation range represents a good faith estimate of potential earnings at the time of this job posting and may be subject to future adjustments.
