Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Interim Manager, Marketing & Communications on behalf of a highly respected, mission-driven nonprofit organization in Los Angeles, California. This is a full-time, onsite temporary opportunity with strong potential to transition into a permanent leadership role.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Are you a strategic marketer who enjoys building brands, engaging communities, and leading impactful communications? This exciting interim opportunity will allow you to shape an organization's marketing strategy while driving audience engagement, brand awareness, and organizational growth. Working closely with executive leadership, you'll oversee integrated marketing initiatives that support programs, events, membership, and community outreach while leading a collaborative marketing team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the organization's integrated marketing and communications strategy to increase community engagement, event participation, brand awareness, and organizational visibility.

  • Oversee multi-channel marketing initiatives including digital marketing, social media, email campaigns, website content, advertising, public relations, and print communications.

  • Develop compelling messaging and storytelling that strengthens brand identity and supports programs, events, membership initiatives, and revenue-generating activities.

  • Utilize CRM platforms, digital marketing tools, and campaign analytics to optimize audience engagement, measure performance, and improve marketing effectiveness.

  • Supervise marketing staff while managing relationships with outside agencies, consultants, photographers, designers, and other creative vendors.

  • Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging, brand standards, and successful execution of strategic initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated success leading integrated marketing, branding, and communications initiatives within nonprofit, hospitality, events, membership, arts, cultural, or other mission-driven organizations.

  • Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and visual communication skills with experience maintaining a strong and consistent brand identity.

  • Experience utilizing CRM platforms, digital marketing technologies, project management software, and campaign analytics to drive engagement and inform strategy.

  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

  • Creative, organized, and strategic professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing big-picture planning with hands-on execution.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Temporary Compensation: $45.50-$62.50 per hour, depending on experience.
