Interim Nephrology Unit Manager Needed in Farmington, New Mexico!

The Position

  • An Interim Nephrology Unit Manager is needed to provide operational and clinical leadership for a 24-bed nephrology and medical-surgical overflow unit.
  • Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, this leader will have two direct reports and oversee a team of RNs, CNAs, and Patient Care Technicians.
  • Key responsibilities include improving staff morale through team building, leading the implementation of UKG, Rothman Index, and PerfectServe, and strengthening clinical operations through documentation audits, bedside shift reporting, and leadership rounding.
  • The ideal candidate will have previous nurse leadership experience with a proven ability to engage teams, improve morale, and lead through change. Nephrology experience is preferred but not required. Must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical.
  • Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance.

Requirements

  • BSN required; MSN preferred.
  • Active New Mexico or Compact RN license required.
  • Progressive nursing leadership experience leading acute care teams and implementing clinical or operational initiatives required. Nephrology experience preferred.

Compensation Details

  • Compensation Range: $160,000 to $170,000 annually.
  • The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
  • The listed base compensation range represents a good faith estimate of potential earnings at the time of this job posting and may be subject to future adjustments.
